DESCRIPTION:
As a Project Engineer at Perini Management Services, you will have the opportunity to:
Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
- Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.
- Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
- Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors.
- Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.
- Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.
- Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor costs and assist with budget management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance.
- Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
- Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.
- Documenting and Coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and decisions.
- Manage submittals and RFIs.
- Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a similar degree from an accredited institution.
- 3 + years of project engineering experience on Federal Projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Procore
- Willing to travel and relocate to San Juan, Puerto Rico project location.
- Ability to obtain an Employer-Sponsored U.S. Government Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
